This Papaer investigates the extent to which higher education influences growth in real earnings of workers in Tanzanian labour market by estimating an earnings variables. The analysis enables an assessment of labour market effect of higher education enrolment growth in Tanzania, such as how having higher education could results into having more people with increased purchasing power and high standards of living.The data used has time dimension that allows estimates that control for time invariant characteristics that might be correlated with higher education attainment influencing observed earnings growth. According to the findings of the paper, growth of earnings appears significantly higher among non graduates than that of graduates.
